The Standard - what are they complaining about?

The Standard claims Don Brash called voters "stupid and greedy".

He actually descibed them as "venal and ignorant".

Venal - open to bribery

Ignorant - lacking knowledge

Labour have been trading on this fact since its conception.

Why is why the only real solution for NZ is to tighten the franchise.

You cannot run a responsible democracy when every "homo sapien" over the age of 18 has the vote.

You simply cannot. You end up with a Labour party, the results of which are all to plain!

Did the franchise change in 2008? I think not and currently we have three right-wing parties in government. jcuknz

No indeed not!
And neither did any policies!

and currently we have three right-wing parties in government.

We have zero right-wing parties in parliament.

Lefties like you love Barack Obama?

Well Barack is far, far to the right of any NZ party.

NZ"s never really had a "right wing" party, let along a government. Now it deserves the choice.

I suspect Anon 9.23 is right when they say that NZ doesn't have any right wing parties. I am truely glad of this becuase what I read on RW Blogs makes me feel sick for society that we have people like that in our midst. The Right are so selfish and lacking in consideration for humanity with their blind obsession for ME ME ME to the exclusion of responsibility as a member of a society.
