Thanks Spam. It became more obvious when I tried it on the laptop.

i find the media hilarious. When Hide was "perk busting" they busted his chops over that. When he stopped they busted his chops for stopping. One gets the impression that they are merely looking for excuses.

yawn

(and I mean that)

It just confirmed for me that what the 'people' want from politics is theatre - not change. So that's what the media serves up for them and that is Larry Williams job. That's what his frustration with Rodney is about.
And Rodney's responses exposed that.

Heard on the radio yesterday that Rodney is making a cameo appearance ("due to poular demand") on a fashion show sponsored by Kircaldie & Stains.

You're 100 correct Linday: people like theatre. So, if that is not theatre, what is?

It is my view that Rodney should concentrate on politics and leave the entertainment to self-destructing Labour.

Manolo, I see a difference between theatre in the entertainment arena and theatre in the political arena.
Can't MPs have a life outside of parliament?

Of course MPs can have a life outside politics (I would add they must), but publicity like this is not helping Rodney.

Please don't misunderstand me. I do like Rodney Hide and would be pleased to see him re-elected in Epsom. In my opinion that should be his main focus.

On the other hand, I could be completely wrong and this sort of frivolities could well win him the seat. As I said before, theatre at its best.

Whatever the outcome, good luck to ACT.

Act is seen by (not seen)by the public at large as invisible and because of this meaningless and ineffective.
I have supported Act in the past andso have a few of my friends. Their general comments are that Act has lost the plot. I listened to the Larry Williams interview and found it a big yawn. Rodney (whom I like as an M.P.) has got to get more proactive. It is hard when you are a two seat party.
