The philosophical problem with the DPB

So ably described by David Green in Poverty and Benefit Dependency;




Try to remember this when next confronted with an indignant lifestyler belly-aching about society's obligation to support mothers and children. And if they try to argue they are raising future taxpayers tell them to take out a loan in anticipation.

Translation: It's our way or the highway. An attitude I would be fine with, if it had a shot in hell of working. But it doesn't, it is idealism without intelligence. It assumes that our system without major fault. Most people involved in politics agree that getting things done is like banging your head against a brick wall.
