The owl and the pussycat?

Two boaties were rescued trying to cross Cook Strait in a four-metre wooden dinghy with a single sail and oars made from broomstick handles.

So they did something risky and almost succeeded, they got all the way across Cook Strait which is no mean achievement. All power to them. They should have been left alone to finish the trip, they were not in any immediate danger.

But no, our politically correct culture holds that no one may do anything risky.
